Dataset Schema
Read the version 2 catalog pointer, snapshot, and optional asset metadata.
Catalog pointer
catalog/v1/latest.json is a schema version 2 object. It contains count, index_path, and a
full index_sha256. The immutable snapshot path must match the first 20 hexadecimal characters of
that digest.
The snapshot also uses schema version 2. Its count must equal both the pointer count and the
number of asset records. Asset IDs must be unique. The browser verifies the raw snapshot bytes
before parsing the records.
Required record values
Every record requires a unique id, a non-empty name_en, and a 64-character source_sha256.
The record may include name_zh, category, tags, triangle and vertex counts, dimensions, file size,
publication time, and file URLs.
Optional text and numeric fields accept missing or null values. The interface displays missing
values as Not supplied. preview_urls must be an array of safe public Dataset URLs.
The original category field is preserved. The gallery maps known language aliases to stable category IDs and shows labels in the active language. For missing categories, only clear model names supply a group. Ambiguous names or unknown source categories remain Uncategorized, not failed QA. Triangle filters group records as fewer than 5,000, 5,000–24,999, or at least 25,000 triangles. These bands do not rate asset quality.
Detail resources
metadata_url points to an optional release JSON object. The reader recognizes id, source,
revision, published_at_utc, quality, recipe, and preview_urls. A present id must match
the catalog record.
prompt_url points to optional plain text. settings_url points to optional JSON recipe
parameters. A failed optional resource does not hide the validated model record.
The reader shows source_input_image only when it contains a Dataset URL, rights_confirmed: true,
and a non-empty rights_statement. It never treats a preview image as a source image.
URL boundary
Every record URL must use HTTPS, omit embedded credentials, and stay under the
daftAI2026/3d-assets Dataset path. URLs to other repositories, external hosts, or non-HTTPS
schemes fail catalog validation.
